Frequently asked questions.
What is PipZ for?
It is for keeping browser content visible while you work in other apps on macOS.
Can I have multiple PiP windows open at the same time?
Yes - that's the whole point. PipZ is a multi-PiP app: open as many Picture-in-Picture windows as you want, each with its own URL, opacity, click-through state, and refresh interval. Use the Mission Control-style PiP browser (⌘⌥B) to see and arrange every active PiP at once.
Does it only work with videos?
No. It also works well for docs, dashboards, slides, and general browser references.
Can I change the shortcuts?
Yes. The built-in settings window lets you customize global shortcuts and related behavior.
How do click-through and auto-refresh work?
Each PiP has a toolbar icon for both. Click-through routes clicks and scrolls to the app underneath; hover the top of the window to reach the toolbar again and turn it off. Auto-refresh opens a menu (Off, 5s, 10s, 30s, 1m, 5m, 15m) and reloads the page on that interval.
What macOS version is recommended?
macOS 13 or later is recommended for the current build.
How does the license work?
One-time purchase. After checkout, you receive an email with a license key - paste it into the Activate window when PipZ first launches. The key activates this Mac against your purchase. Solo covers 1 Mac, Plus covers up to 3, Team covers up to 5.
I lost my license key. How do I get it back?
Open the original Lemon Squeezy purchase email, or visit the customer portal linked from the PipZ status-bar menu (“Open customer portal”). You can re-download the key and view your activations there.
How do I move PipZ to a different Mac?
On the old Mac, click the PipZ status-bar icon and choose “Deactivate this Mac.” That frees a slot on your license. Then activate the new Mac with the same key. You can also revoke an activation from the customer portal if the old Mac is unavailable.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes - within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Reply to the purchase email or contact pipzhelp@gmail.com.
